Haikal quickly ran upstairs, heading to his twin’s room. “Emi? Emily!” He called the female and ran to hug her tightly. One hand went to stroke her hair softly as his other hand brought her closer to him. “It’s okay, I’m here,” he whispered those words repeatedly, trying to calm her sister as she cried.

Usually, Emily will sleep in his room with him if it’s raining outside and he’ll hug her to sleep. He knows how scared her sister is with rain, even though it might sound silly to other people. Most would say they love rain as it’s calming for them and it helps them to sleep well at night sometimes but not with some others.

There are some people who’d easily get anxiety and probably panic attack when it’s raining, due to the past incident or trauma related to rain. One of them is Emily. She hates rain the most especially if it’s during the night despite her love towards the petrichor smell in the morning.

“Maaf, abang biarin kamu sendiri,” he softly said.

Emily didn’t reply and Haikal could feel how she’s still trembling in his arms.

“Takut,”

“Tenang, ya? Abang udah disini. Gausah khawatir, I’m here for you.”

“Aku keinget yang dulu.”

“Udah, Emily. Jangan dipikirin soal itu lagi.”

Haikal slowly pulled away from their hug, holding both of her shoulders. “Look at me,” he said. Emily followed what he said, trying to hold back her tears. Haikal frowned, moving his hands from her shoulders to cup his twin’s face. Thumbs softly rubbing away the tears on her cheeks.

“Come on, Emily. Adik abang kuat, kan? Maaf ya, abang ninggalin kamu sendiri. Mana ga sadar udah hujan deras diluar terus ga liat kamu kirim WhatsApp. Aku panik banget. Jangan terus-terusan nangis, please. I can feel your pain and I hate that you need to feel this feeling,” Haikal said before pulling her into a hug back, holding back his tears.

Bunda, maaf. Haikal bikin adik nangis lagi, Haikal biarin dia sendiri. Udah beberapa bulan Haikal ga liat dia kayak gini. Rasanya sakit banget. Bunda, Haikal kangen. Emily juga kangen, pasti.’
